In March, Eliot Antonietti had bid farewell to Genève-Servette HC, the team he has always played for in his career, except for a couple of short stints on loan to other teams, including the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers this year. Looking for a new team, the big defenseman has therefore accepted the try-out proposal from HC Lugano: during the month of August, Antonietti will have the chance to earn a contract and stay in Ticino.
On a side note, HC Lugano also announced the signing of two youngsters from the U20 team, Jari Näser (defenseman) and Riccardo Werder (forward), both born in 2001, to three-year entry-level contracts.
