Swiss Ice Hockey has announced today that Reto Bertolotti will step down from his post as Referee in Chief at the end of this season. He has been involved with refereeing since 1983.

Reto Bertolotti started his career as a referee 30 years ago. He officiated 800 National League games between 1987 and 2005 and then took over as Referee in Chief of Swiss Ice Hockey. Furthermore, Reto Bertolotti did also participate in nine World Championships and nine Spengler Cups.

Reto Bertolotti leaves Swiss Ice Hockey at his own wish but he will stay in the ice hockey business and remain in his function as IIHF-instructor, which he has been practicing since 2006.
