Although not mentioned in the article by Watson, the SonntagsBlick reports that both will miss the World Championship with injuries. As a consequence, already half of the silver medal winners from Sweden definitely won't play in Minsk.

For the final phase of the preparation, the Swiss Champions Mathias Seger, Luca Cunti and Reto Schäppi (ZSC Lions), as well as the runner-ups Eric Blum, Victor Stancescu and Simon Bodenmann (Kloten Flyers) will join the team. Also defenseman Yannick Weber from the Vancouver Canucks will arrive.

Depending on how their playoff-series will turn out, further candidates could be forwards Simon Moser (Milwaukee Admirals, AHL) and Nino Niederreiter (Minnesota Wild, NHL), as well as defenseman Raphael Diaz (New York Rangers, NHL).
