Rumor

Silly season has officially started in Zurich. While looking for a new coach, names such as Erkka Westerlund or Mike Keenan came up. And now, another big name seems to be a realistic option: HC Davos coach Arno del Curto.

According to information from HeShootsHeScoores, Arno del Curto might indeed become the ZSC Lions new head coach and - while leaving HC Davos after 20 seasons - cause a little earthquake in the Swiss hockey landscape. This although he extended his contract in Davos back in October.

Still according to the same source, Del Curto, who already coached the Zürcher SC between 1991 and 1994, might have already agreed on moving to Zurich in January. The reason could be that HC Davos is thinking about hiring a team manager, which might limit the 59-year-old's powers in Davos.

Del Curto and leaving HC Davos - a story that is coming up almost every year now. Time will tell if there is more truth to it this time. (tme)
