RUMOR - With his check to the head of EHCB's Tschantré in the game on December 22, provisionally suspended Jim Vandermeer might not only fear a longer suspension, he might have also put an end to his time with the Kloten Flyers.

As one can read in the Spengler Cup magazine Eissplitter, the Kloten Flyers do not seem to be willing to count any longer on their 34-year-old Canadian defender, who still has an ongoing contract for the upcoming season 2015-16. "Yes, we have to find a solution," KF's new head coach and team manager Sean Simpson confirmed to the same source.

Vandermeer arrived in Kloten from the AHL's Chicago Wolves during summer 2013. This season so far, he was able to score seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) in 32 games.
