RUMOR - SC Bern is currently still searching to finalize their roster for the 2014/15 season and it seems like the process so far has not been an easy one. However, according to the Berner Zeitung, SCB is evaluating their options at the moment.

One player they would like to have in their team for next season is Eric Blum. The 27-year-old defenseman of the Kloten Flyers is not going to make a decision on his future until after the playoffs, but will decide before the World Championship in Minsk.

However, head coach Guy Boucher and team manager Sven Leuenberger are not sitting idly by, while Blum is deciding on his future. They have looked into some forwards and defensemen abroad, but have yet to find a match for the team.

Players in the Swiss market, however, are hard to come by. Apparently, SCB has tried to lure back Etienne Froidevaux to the capital city, but he will remain with Lausanne HC for now. Also on their radar seem to be forwards Marc Reichert, 34, (HC Ambrì-Piotta) and former SCB junior player Juraj Simek, 26, (Genève-Servette HC).

Team manager Sven Leuenberger, when asked about the rumors, remains tight-lipped though: "We are not already on vacation at the moment, that is for sure."
