Christian Weber for Austria - Mario Kogler stays with Thurgau

As a consequence, HC Thurgau will have to cope without their head coach Christian Weber for three games in February. Weber is happy about this opportunity: "It means a lot to me that the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation has asked me to do this job", the 49-year-old said.

During Weber's absence, the team will be coached by HC Thurgau's assistant coach Mario Kogler. Moreover, the 27-year-old has extended his contract with the Lions for another year and will stay Christian Weber's assistant coach also during the upcoming season.
