NLB - With the relegation of the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, the problems with the players' contracts will have to be resolved. Some contracts were only valid for the NLA and thus it remains to be seen who stays and who goes.

"The young players also have contracts for the NLB and we will give the others time to think about their situation until the end of April", CEO Roger Sigg tells Watson.ch. He also reveals that their benefactor Hansueli Rhis will still support the team in the upcoming season.

However, the contracts of all import players as well as the contract of Anders Eldebrink are with the Lakers' relegation dissolved and they will thus hit the market. Of course, there was also collateral damage done, as SC Herisau's application for the NLB will now not go through, a fact that Sigg regrets: "This is very unfortunate. We invested a lot of time and money into that project." (mso)
