NLA - What was already rumored seems to come true: Genève-Servette's newly acquired defenseman Ian White won't come to Geneva. McSorley needs to find an alternative.

After Ian White signed a contract with Genève-Servette HC until the end of the current season, the waiting in Geneva began. Due to alleged licensing problems and familiar problems, Ian White wasn't expected to join Geneva right away - but now he won't join them at all.

Rumors that White will joine a team in the Kontinental Hockey League instead of Genève-Servette HC seem to come true. As Chris McSorley confirmed Le Matin: "I don't expect Ian White to come to Geneva anymore".

The only good thing about it is, that Servette should receive a financial compensation because of the valid contract that Ian White has already signed. The bad thing: They still desperately need another defensive player. "I want to hire the best foreign player on the market", Chris McSorley announced.
