National League

NLA - A few days ago, Swedish sources reported that HC Davos is interested in forward Dick Axelsson. Shortly after their elimination on Saturday, HCD-coach Arno Del Curto confirmed the reports to the Südostschweiz.

Axelsson, who won last year's World Championship with Sweden, seems to be a forward who can do it all on offense. However, he struggles to find some consistency in his play. In the past two seasons, the 26-year-old played with Frölunda in the Swedish Hockey League and scored a total of 63 points (20 goals and 43 assists) in 99 games.

In addition to the confirmation of Axelsson's signing, Arno Del Curto also confirmed to the Südostschweiz that defenseman Ryan O'Connor won't return to Davos. The 22-year-old Canadian played only 17 games for HCD and was then loaned to Medvescak Zagreb in the KHL.

Thus, the two Finns Ville Koistinen and Perttu Lindgren and the two Swedes Marcus Paulsson and Dick Axelsson will form HC Davos' import-quartet for the upcoming season.
