Kwiatkowski, whose contract expires at the end of this season, has also expressed interest in staying with Fribourg. The 36-year old joined the Dragons in 2012 after two years with SC Bern. In the current season, the Canadian defenseman has four goals and twelve assists in 38 games.

As for the signing of another import defenseman until the end of the season, once announced as imminent, no reinforcement has been found yet. But first HCFG will have to decide on the future of Anthony Stewart though. The forward's try-out contract will expire on January 22nd.
