ZSC Lions add new players to their roster

"By signing Stefanie Wetli and Bri Eid, we’ve been able to strengthen our defense in a targeted way. [...] On offense, we’ll be adding two foreign forwards to the roster. At the same time, we’re making a conscious effort to focus on the younger generation [...]," Christine Meier, team manager of the Women's League, said about the team's roster building. 

Wetli and Eid are joined by Norina Schrupkowski and Stella Zagnoli (both from the club's junior teams) as well as prospects Gloria Henek, Shayna Merkofer, Lisa Binder, Enya Frolik, and Lian Tovi. The Lions are also looking to add two more import players to the roster.

The Lions had already previously announced the departure of some of their players. Dominique Scheurer, Isabel Waidacher, Julia Marty, and Eveliina Mäkinen have retired. Mara Frey, Samira Besson and Kira Juodikis are joining other teams. Shannon Sigrist, Laura De Bastiani, and Kristi Shashkina did not receive offers for a contract extension.
