Women's League

The newly crowned Women's League champion can count on continuity among their roster, but there are also some goodbyes.

Five players will not be part of the SC Bern Frauen anymore in the coming season. Tess Allemann is putting an end to her career at the age of 27, while Julia Marty, Lea MacLeod, Viktoria Maskalova, and Isabel Waidacher are leaving the team. The latter had come out of retirement last summer to join Bern.

Alongside the departures, there are extensions as well. Netminder Amelie Walzer, defenders Alizée Aymon, Céline Bonassi, Mila Croll, Ilana Leibundgut and Alena Rossel, as well as forwards Kaleigh Quennec, Emma Ingold, Clara Rozier, and Andrea Schranz, will all stick around for the coming season.

"We are happy that we were able to keep the core of the team together after the successful season", team manager Jakob Kölliker notes. "Together with the transfers we have made, including younger players, the squad will benefit from depth and sustainability. The coaching team now has the ideal conditions to further develop a team with great experience and a high level of commitment."
