The 32-year-old assistant coach will serve in her new role as of June 1, 2025. There are also changes in the coaching staff: head coach Thomas Zwahlen will leave.

Nina Kindschi will work with team manager Jakob Kölliker to advance the team's development. "Nina Kindschi brings not only extensive expertise and know-how in women's sport but also the ability to further improve and professionalize structures
professionalize structures to further promote women's ice hockey within SC Bern," Pascal Signer, COO of SC Bern, states. 

While Nina Kindschi will thus take on a new role, Thomas Zwahlen will leave the organization for good. He has worked for the Bears for the past four seasons but is now looking for a new adventure. Zwahlen will coach the Bears until the end of the season, the organization has, however, already started their search for his successor.
