“I’m so happy to be able to sign my ELC with Anaheim,” said Dionicio in a statement put out by his current team, Saginaw Spirit. “I want to thank the organization here in Saginaw for trusting me in my game and for helping me to develop off the ice as well.”
Dionico signed a three-year contract with EHC Biel earlier this year. Due to the transfer agreement the NHL has with the National League, the defenseman was, however, able to sign with an NHL team. Whether he will still suit up for EHC Biel next season, albeit on loan, remains to be seen.
Dionicio combined for 73 points (25 goals, 48 assists in 60 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games with the Windsor Spitfire and the Saginaw Spirit in the 2023-24 season.
