The 33-year-old forward has signed an AHL contract with the AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars.
Mike Sgarbossa was slated to suit up for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in the upcoming season, but the two parties dissolved their contract last week. Instead, he will now set up his tents in Texas.
Sgarbossa played for HC Lugano and SC Bern last season. Prior to signing in Switzerland, the forward had an extensive career in the AHL, appearing in over 600 games.
