This season so far, HC Thurgau has had outside goalies in net more often than their own. Christof von Burg (SC Bern) and Ewan Huet (EHC Kloten) have played a combined 30 games, while Mathieu Croce sits at 18 appearances. According to the "Thurgauer Zeitung", the Lions are presumed to not only continue this, but also go even further and rely only on loaned goalies next winter.
They count on having Huet available to them once again, with Kloten relying on Reto Berra and Davide Fadani next season. To support the 21-year-old, they reportedly have contacts with four clubs, two of them being Lausanne HC and EV Zug, as goalie coach Axel Feichter confirms to the "Thurgauer Zeitung". The Lions also have a partnership with HC Fribourg-Gottéron.
