Swiss League
The veteran defenseman, who was already part of the team last season, spent the month of August with them in an attempt to showcase his skills.
HC Sierre
It seems that Marco Maurer has been able to convince HC Sierre of his abilities. Preparing for the season with the Swiss League team on a tryout basis in August (and after playing for them the previous winter), the defenseman was signed to a deal valid until next spring.
At 38, Maurer is looking back on a long career with 928 games in the National League and, as of now, 70 in the Swiss League, with more to come.
