The 27-year-old defenseman has agreed to a one-year contract. The deal contains an option for an additional season.
HC Thurgau
Tyler Higgins will be available to HC Sierre effective immediately and will be in the lineup for the game against EHC Basel tomorrow.
Higgins, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license, will start into his sixth season in Switzerland. The defender earned his new deal with HC Sierre through a tryout opportunity he had obtained in August. Last season, he recorded two goals and six assists in 42 regular-season games for HC Thurgau.
