HC Sierre has strengthened its squad for the final stretch of the season with Niccolò Mansueto from GDT Bellinzona Snakes. The 21-year-old forward will strengthen the Valais team until the end of the season. “Niccolò is an intense competitor who plays physical hockey and has a keen instinct for scoring goals,” says head coach Chris McSorley, describing the qualities of the new signing.
Mansueto returned to Switzerland for this season. Last year, he played for the Powell River Kings in the British Columbia Hockey League, and before that, he played for several years in various HC Lugano youth teams.
This season, he has played 41 games for the Snakes, scoring eight goals and recording seven assists.
