With Heinz Ehlers returning to Denmark, EHC Visp has been looking for a new coach. A while ago, the "Walliser Bote" reported that Luca Gianinazzi was on their list of candidates - as it turns out, he has come out on top. The 32-year-old has signed a one-year deal. His support staff has also seen a change, Tamás Fodor is joining as conditioning coach. Kevin Hecquefeuille sticks around as assistant, Alexander Zalevsky as goalie-and video coach.
On the player-side of things, EHC Visp has acquired the services of netminder Juho Markkanen (from Finland's second-tier team JoPK), defender Darren Boss (from HC La Chaux-de-Fonds), and forward Lenn Zehnder (from the GCK Lions's U20). They've all signed on for a year, although Markkanen's contract includes an option for an additional one.
Besides the new members, some are sticking around - Swede Adam Brodecki, Visp's topscorer in the playoffs, his countryman Jacob Nilsson, topscorer in the regular season, and Simon Wüest have signed one-year extensions. In case of the latter, it includes an option for an additional one.
