Olivier Schäublin steps down as Basel's CEO

Oliver Schäublin has been with EHC Basel and its predecessors in various functions during multiple stints since 2000. Starting out as a player, he moved to the dual role of team manager and assistant coach in 2016, eventually exclusively working as team manager.

During the 2022-23 season, Basel's first one back in the Swiss League, Schäublin was promoted to CEO. As he announced earlier today, he is stepping down from that and plans to orient himself anew professionally, heading into the private sector.
