HC La Chaux-de-Fonds has secured their goaltending duo for the coming two years. Lucas Rötheli joins from Swiss League rival EHC Olten, and Bryan Rüegger will be returning from a stint with Esbjerg Energy in Denmark. Both have signed two-year deals.

"The two goalies have already reached a certain level in the Swiss League, a standard that will bring stability and performance to our team", HCC's goaltending coach Santeri Matikainen comments. "Bryan and Lucas are both at a key point in their careers, where it is time to take the next step, and I am convinced that HCC is the ideal place to do so. Together, they form a complementary duo that will bring competition and ambition to the team."

Rötheli, 23, is currently in his fourth year with Olten. He stems from EV Zug's organization, but left after the EVZ Academy squad was discontinued. Rüegger, 25, also spent some time in Zug's youth department, but bounced around other junior teams as well. After splitting time between HC Fribourg-Gottéron and HC Thurgau for a while, he decided to head to Denmark last summer.
