HC La Chaux-de-Fonds has agreed to terms with Michael Courts to a one-year contract, valid until the end of the 2026-27 season.

The 36-year-old has been coaching in the EIHL and will coach his first season in Switzerland. Courts joins Thomas Rhodin and Santeri Matikainen as part of the coaching staff.
"Mike immediately showed a lot of motivation. His career path is interesting because he’s worked his way up through every level—from video analyst to assistant coach to head coach—which has given him a comprehensive understanding of how a coaching staff operates," team manager Loïc Burkhalter said.
