HC Sierre wins Swiss League championship, League Qualification will not be played

In Game 5 of the Playoff Final, HC Sierre beat HC La Chaux-de-Fonds 4-1, thus also winning the series 4-1. Timothy Kast opened the scoring for Sierre. While HCC was able to tie the game in the second period, Sierre secured their victory in the middle of the third period, when Mathieu Vouillamoz recorded the second goal for Sierre of the night. 

Jordann Bougro and Marco Maurer added two more goals to the tally and thus finished the playoff final series with a 4-1 victory.

As only HC La Chaux-de-Fonds would have been able to be promoted to the Swiss League, HC Ajoie will not have to play a Best-of-7 League Qualification series. The season is thus also over for the Ajoulots.
