HC Sierre signs Guillaume Maillard, offers tryout to Tyler Higgins

After eight seasons under contract in the National League, the last two of which with Genève-Servette HC, Guillaume Maillard moves to the Swiss League. In the second-highest tier of Swiss hockey, however, he has already gathered some experience, having been loaned to HC Ajoie at the beginning of his career and, most recently, to HC Sierre.

Additionally, HC Sierre announced that they offered a tryout opportunity during the month of August to Canadian defender - but with a Swiss player's license - Tyler Higgins. The 27-year-old arrived in Switzerland in 2020, and after playing for SC Langenthal, he moved to EHC Basel and then to HC Thurgau last season. He collected nine points in 49 points with Thurgau last season.
