As Südostschweiz writes, HC Ambrì-Piotta's plan was for Pekař to play ten games for their own U21 elite team and then join the GDT Bellinzona Snakes in the Swiss League until he receives the Swiss player's license. There are now many indications that the 18-year-old is set to join EHC Chur, the newspaper reports.
Pekař most recently spent two years playing in the WHL for the Seattle Thunderbirds, scoring 40 goals and recording 47 assists in 138 games.
