The 33-year-old defenseman will take on new adventures as of this summer.

EHC Olten

EHC Olten announced the retirement of Eliot Antonietti last night on their Instagram account. The defenseman will hang up his skates at the end of the season. The 33-year-old has been playing for the Swiss League team since 2021.

Antonietti is a product of Genève-Servette HC's organization and made his debut as a professional hockey player with them in the 2010-11 season. For the majority of his career, he had been under contract with the Grenats; he only suited up on loan for HC Ajoie and the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. He joined HC Lugano in 2020 and then signed with Olten in 2021. In the 2021-22 season, he also suited up in one game (recording one goal) for the SCL Tigers.

Antonietti revealed his next project to the "Oltner Tagblatt": "If I pass all my exams, I will start the police academy in Geneva next summer."
