Darels Dukurs from Chur to Sierre

HC Sierre is bolstering their roster with some Latvian firepower. Darels Dukurs is joining from fellow Swiss League club EHC Chur on a contract valid until 2028. As the 23-year-old already played in Switzerland as a junior, he has a player's licence here and does not count against the import limit.

"Darels is a smart player, capable of performing well in both ends of the rink", assistant coach Eric Castonguay notes. "His reading of the game and his understanding of situations make him a very interesting addition to our team."

Last season, Dukurs missed quite some time due to injury, but managed to put up nine goals and six assists in 19 games for Chur nonetheless.
