After a bit less than ten months, Urs Kessler has decided to step down as president of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation.

"I have decided to step down as president effective immediately and clear the way for a fresh start, which the association urgently needs. The ongoing discussions have shown me that I am not the right person for this," Urs Kessler said.
The former CEO of the Jungfraubahnen was elected as president of the SIHF's Board of Directors in September 2025. He succeeded Stefan Schärer, who had also only been with SIHF for a bit more than a year.
