As Uwe Krupp told the journalists today, the decision to join HC Lugano was an easy one: "During the year I received several proposals, but no situation led me to want to take the reins of a team. When the call came from Lugano, however, things went very fast; it is a team with great tradition and it is an honor to coach them.”
For the present and the immediate future, Krupp explained that they returned to the basics today: "Talking with Antti Törmänen, we decided to start from scratch, from the fundamentals. Today we worked on occupying the defensive zone, tomorrow we will work on the forecheck. After the weekend I will have more information to understand how to adapt.”
Finally, "RSI" also reports that HC Lugano opted for an internal solution to cover the roles of assistant coaches: the German will be helped out by Paolo Morini and Flavien Conne, who were already employed within the organization.
