National League

The Swede spent the last four years in North America and is now returning to Europe. It will be his first time in Switzerland.

"Sportsbladet" already announced the move ten days ago, HC Lugano has now made it official - Olle Lycksell is a new member of the National League team. Joining them from the Ottawa Senators, the forward has signed a deal valid until 2029.

Lycksell, 26, grew up playing for IK Oskarshamn (debut in the HockeyAllsvenskan during the 2015-16 season) and Linköping HC (SHL debut in 2017). Selected 168th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, the forward made the jump overseas in 2022. Last summer, he joined Ottawa.

During his time in North America, Lycksell suited up 52 times in the NHL (two goals and eleven assists), as well as 194 times in the AHL (70 goals and 102 assists).
