The goalie, whose contract was set to expire next spring, has put his name on a new deal valid until the end of the 2027-28 season.

With the extension of Luca Boltshauser, the SCL Tigers have taken care of the goalie question for at least next season: their current trio made up of Luca Boltshauser (2028), Robin Meyer (2027) and Martin Neckar (2028) will continue minding the net of the Tigers. For Boltshauser it will be the fifth and the sixth season in Langnau.

"I am very happy to continue working with Luca in the future. First and foremost because he is a great person and teammate who brings a lot of positive energy to the team. He has also shown that he can deliver consistently strong performances in the National League, providing stability and support to our team and our goalie group." said William Rahm, goalie coach of the SCL Tigers.

This season, the 32-year-old has posted a save percentage of 0.916 in 10 games so far and is averaging 2.81 goals against per game.
