Thanks to an out clause in his current contract, Emil Pettersson is reportedly joining the SCL Tigers next season. The forward would still have been part of Timrå IK for another year, but as Expressen writes, the Swede has a new deal with Langnau in his pocket.
Pettersson, 32, thus appears to be following Timrå-teammate Jonathan Dahlén to the Tigers. The two were the SHL squad's best scorers this past season by far, with Pettersson contributing 15 goals and 31 assists in 51 games.
The forward departs Timrå for a second time in his career. He was already part of them as a junior and made some appearances in the HockeyAllsvenskan with them before leaving in 2015. Seven years later, he returned.
