While team manager Claudio Cadonau will not add anymore Swiss players to his roster, he is slowly finalizing his import player contingent.

After a report by the "Südostschweiz" about the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers wanting to keep Tanner Fritz, the club is now following through. A one-year contract extension has been announced. With this, they now have six imports on their roster for the coming season.

"He is definitely earned a new contract with his performances.", Cadonau said when asked about Fritz by the "Südostschweiz". "He is a great team player."

The 34-year-old joined the Lakers in December of 2024 as injury replacement, and has appeared in 68 games for them since, recording 15 goals and 27 assists.

Furthermore, Cadonau told the "Südostschweiz" that they would like to start the season with seven import players. For one, they would like to have an option in case someone sustains an injury early in the season. Cadonau also adds that he thinks it is beneficial to have competition among the import players.
