The 27-year-old defenseman has two years left on his contract with the Växjö Lakers but has an out clause in his deal.
According to Smålandsposten (relayed by Hockeysverige.se), the defenseman might make use of his out clause as several National League teams have shown interest in the Swede.
Carlsson, who was drafted in the first round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, returned to Sweden in 2023 after a bit over six seasons in North America. This season, he recorded eight goals and 18 assists in 48 regular-season games for Växjö.
