SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers add Canadian forward Tanner Fritz to their roster

Tanner Fritz underwent hip surgery this past summer but has now been fully practicing for about two months. "Due to his operation and subsequent recovery, he will certainly need some time to get into the rhythm of the game. But we are confident that he will be a great help for the Lakers," Janick Steinmann, team manager of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, said. 

Tanner Fritz will also play at the Spengler Cup to get some games in. It is not yet clear for which team he will play, though. The Canadian can look back on a long career in the AHL, having appeared in over 350 games. Last season, he suited up for the Bridgeport Islanders and Dinamo Minsk.
