Ryan Gunderson will turn 40 next August. In all likelihood, he will not prepare for another season of hockey then.

As he tells the "Freiburger Nachrichten", he is almost 100 per cent certain that he will end his career at the end of this season, unless "something crazy happens. One never knows." "La Liberté" already reported in November that Gunderson is leaning towards retirement but would take until Christmas to decide.

Another player might also leave the team, albeit for different reasons. Swedish newspaper "Corren" reports that representatives of Linköping HC have met with Jakob Lilja in Switzerland. The club was, however, not willing to disclose anything to the newspaper, so it remains to be seen what will come of it. Lilja has been with HC Fribourg-Gottéron since October as he had been traded to the Dragons from HC Ambrì-Piotta.

There might also be some changes in the coaching staff next season when Roger Rönnberg takes over as head coach. Asked by "La Liberté", whether he would be interested in obtaining an assistant coach position, Pavel Rosa had this to say: "Yes, I even told Gern [Zenhäusern] at the start of the season that I would be interested."

Pat Emond, who is currently the head coach of the Dragons, on the other hand, was not willing to say much about the subject: “I'm concentrating on the season, I haven't had any discussions with the organization on the subject.”
