Rumors around Sam Hallam and GSHC are heating up

Klaus Zaugg ("Watson") reported two weeks ago that GSHC is trying to acquire Sam Hallam for the 2026-27 season. Hallam's contract with the Swedish hockey federation will expire in 2026.

As "Sportsbladet" (relayed by "Hockeynews.se") reported today, it is now clear that Hallam will join GSHC after the end of his contract. The Swede was, however, not willing to say something about the aubject matter: "I am very happy [...] with the job I have now and will just focus on it. I have no comment on the future."

Hallam served as the head coach for the Växjö Lakers for ten seasons. In 2022, he signed with the Svenska Ishockeyförbundet and has coached the national team ever since.
