National League

After seven years in Zurich, the defenseman is switching teams. He is headed back to a previous stop in his career.

When Dario Trutmann returned from his stint with the Plymouth Whalers (OHL) in 2012, he joined EHC Biel. 14 years later, he is once again joining Biel, this time as a veteran defenseman with a contract through 2028.

The time between his departure from Biel in 2014 and his return is mainly characterized by a lion. First a member of Genève-Servette HC for a season, Trutmann then joined the Lions of the West, Lausanne HC, and then moved on to the ones in the East, the ZSC Lions. With the latter, he won two championships.

A product of EV Zug's youth department, 33-year-old Trutmann currently stands at 750 National League games.
