In the beginning there was a swap deal, which sent Nando Eggenberger to EV Zug and Tim Muggli to HC Ambrì-Piotta. The Bulls took over the contract of the forward, which included an expiration date at the end of the 2024-25 season. Now the date has been postponed by one year.
“We see great potential in Nando, which he has not yet been able to fully exploit,” states team manager Reto Kläy. “But he’s already doing a lot of things well and is on a positive path.” Eggenberger too believes in the project: "I’m not yet where I want to be and I want to develop further. At EVZ I see the ideal conditions for this. I’m really looking forward to playing another season in Zug!"
In 25 games for EV Zug so far, Eggenberger has collected eight points (one goal, seven assists) and has a +4 balance while averaging less than ten minutes on the ice per game, the lowest TOI among regular members of the squad.
