The 33-year-old defenseman asked to be released from his contract for personal reasons. HC Ambrì-Piotta granted his request.

Michal Čajkovský joined the Biancoblù in mid-November and was supposed to stay with the National League team until the end of the 2025-26 season. He will now finish the season with KHL team Traktor Chelyabinsk.
The Slovakian defenseman has appeared in six regular-season games for HCAP but did not put his name on the score sheet.
