Two months ago, "Ilta-Sanomat" had first reported on the matter, and two days ago, "Watson"'s Klaus Zaugg mentioned it as a done deal - Petteri Puhakka would join EHC Kloten next season. They appear to have been correct - the National League club confirmed the addition of the Finnish forward on a two-year contract.
Before his move to Switzerland, Puhakka was a member of Tappara Tampere and won three consecutive Liiga-championships with them. Two days ago, Tappara was eliminated from this spring's playoffs in the quarterfinal, after finishing the regular season in ninth place. Puhakka, who will turn 24 in a week, contributed eleven goals and 15 assists in 53 games this past season.
