HCFG and HCAP to exchange Chris DiDomenico and Jakob Lilja

Effective immediately, Chris DiDomenico will play for HC Ambrì-Piotta (his fourth club in Switzerland) while Jakob Lilja will move to Fribourg. According to "Blick", Chris DiDomenico reportedly asked HC Fribourg-Gottéron's management to terminate his contract following a more complicated start than expected. Rumor has it that DiDomenico does not appreciate the type of game head coach Pat Emond dictates.

DiDomenico has been a member of HCFG from 2020 to 2022 and then again from 2023 until now. This season so far, the first under head coach Pat Emond and not Christian Dubé, the 35-year-old scored two goals and collected seven assists. For his part, Lilja has not managed to earn a fixed spot on the lineup of HC Ambrì-Piotta yet and has recorded only one assist in eleven games.
