HC Lugano adds Finnish winger Jere Innala to their roster for two years

With the signing of Jere Innala, HC Lugano has acquired the services of a quick and prolific forward: “Innala is a fast winger with strong scoring abilities. At 27, he still has the best years of his career ahead of him. With the experience he has gained in some of the world’s top leagues, he will be a key piece of our team for the future," states team manager Janick Steinmann. Innala is the fourth import under contract with the Bianconeri for next season.

Innala debuted in the Liiga with HPK in 2016, with which he won the Liiga in 2019. From 2022 until today, he has been with Frölunda HC, with the exception of a stint with the Colorado Avalanche franchise in 2024-25.

This season, he has scored 21 goals and recorded 18 assists in 46 SHL games, leading the second-best team in the regular season in goals and points. Additionally, he recently scored the game-winning goal in the Champions Hockey League final. Internationally, he won a gold medal at the Worlds in 2022 and a silver medal the year before.
