Kevin Nicolet, a 21-year-old homegrown talent, has secured a stable spot in the lineup this season after spending the previous year on loan to HC Thurgau in the Swiss League. Meanwhile, Simon Seiler is now in his second season with the Dragons. With these two extensions, the roster for HC Fribourg-Gottéron for the upcoming season is nearly complete.
Gerd Zenhäusern, team manager: “Kevin Nicolet has reached a new level this season. After starting the season with Thurgau, he seized the opportunity to join the first-team squad. With his attitude and commitment, he embodies the path HC Fribourg-Gottéron wants to follow. We are also convinced that Simon Seiler can play an important role. A combative, well-liked player who brings a physical dimension to the rearguard, Simon is perfectly suited to the missions entrusted to him.”
This season, Nicolet scored two goals and collected four assists in 32 games with HC Fribourg-Gottéron, while Seiler has yet to register a point in 24 outings.
