With only one import defender on the roster, HC Davos might be looking for additional reinforcement ahead of the playoffs, and it seems they may have found it in Ludvig Claesson. Vaasan Sport is last in the Liiga's standings and is open to letting players go before the end of the season, including the 29-year-old defender.

Ari-Pekka Pajuluoma, team manager of Vaasan Sport, confirms to Expressen that they are in advanced talks with HC Davos for Ludvig Claesson, but that nothing is definitive, although a complete turnaround is required for the transfer not to go through, according to sources close to Expressen.

This season, Claesson scored one goal and put up nine assists in 43 Liiga games. Previously, he only ever suited up in Sweden, including for Rögle BK, where he played with current HC Davos players Adam Tambellini and Simon Ryfors.
