Recently, the 36-year-old forward received Swiss citizenship and will no longer count towards the import limit.

After ten and a half years in Switzerland, all with HC Ajoie, Philip-Michaël Devos has successfully applied for and received the Swiss passport. "This naturalisation means a great deal to me. Switzerland, and the canton of Jura in particular, is my home now," states the Swiss-Canadian. The native of Quebec joined HC Ajoie in 2015 after one year in Italy and is currently signed until 2028, with an option for an additional season.

With the naturalisation of Devos, HC Ajoie now has five imports under contract: Anttoni and Julius Honka, Jerry Turkulainen, Julius Nättinen, and Kristian Tanus. Jonathan Hazen's future in Ajoie is not clear yet.

This past season, Devos scored nine goals and collected seven assists in 42 regular-season games, and netted three goals in three playout games.
