The 37-year-old forward's contract will expire next spring. He has, however, a chance to stay in Langnau, Klaus Zaugg ("Watson") reports.

As Zaugg writes, Harri Pesonen has been offered to stay on "as the seventh import player for the SCL Tigers" in view of a potential Spengler Cup participation of the Tigers in 2026.

Langnau has already secured the services of Juuso Riikola, Jonathan Dahlén, and Hannes Björninen for the next season. Furthermore, Santtu Kinnunen will supposedly extend his contract soon, and they are also close to a deal with André Petersson, but nothing has been signed yet.

The future of Saku Mäenalanen, on the other hand, is not yet clear. If Mäenalanen does not stay and everyone else signs a new deal, the Tigers would have one import spot left. Zaugg suggests that Patrik Puistola might be a good fit for the Tigers. The 24-year-old forward is currently under contract with Örebro HK (seven goals, five assists in 18 games).
