GSHC has reportedly found an agreement with defender Jan Rutta

For the coming season, Genève-Servette HC has now already seven imports (one defender and six forwards) under contract, but one of them is Jason Akeson, who is expected to receive the Swiss passport in September thanks to being married to a Swiss woman. If the rumor is confirmed, Jan Rutta would thus become the seventh import of the Grenats.

Rutta, 35, last played for the San Jose Sharks in the NHL, but has also suited up for the Chicago Blackhawks, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and especially with the Tampa Bay Lightning, with which he won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021. Before joining the NHL in 2017, he spent several years with Piráti Chomutov in Czechia.
